The Odd Folks of Okracoke

My recording from many years ago:

Lagrima

My recording from a few years ago:

I don't know if it's necessary, but in the 3rd measure of the B section she could try holding the high notes down while she plays the low notes that come next. That's how I learned it anyway and it makes me picture tears cascading down. That was my first introduction to big stretches and it really opened my eyes! (Not unlike the kind of revelations torture victims experience on the rack).

Recuerdos de la Alhambra

My ultimate goal is to learn this one:

I have the arrangement to this song "Una Valsa para ti"

It is on my list of songs to learn.

Here is the video to it, arranged and played by Per Olov Kindgren:

Here is a version of La Marine.

Ave Maria has always been one of my favorite songs. I have two different versions of it. This is an mp3 of the Chet Atkins version:

This is a video I made of the other version. Needs a lot of work.

Here are some other videos of people who really know what they are doing:

Tristesse

I was looking through some tabs I had and found this one. It is fairly easy to play.

Here is a mp3 I recorded several years ago.

I am going to record a video of it.

Here a few videos of this song.

Pachelbel's Canon In D

My wife loves this song. I think most women do.

This is a recording I did a long time ago:

I finally found an arrangement I love. It is by Per Olov Kindgren.

Here is me attempting to play this song. I will post another update as work out kinks in my playing it.

This is Per Olov Kindgren playing it the way it should be played:

I have started this blog to chronicle my journey in learning classical guitar.

I have played on and off my entire life but am just now getting serious about learning the right way.
